  The University was established in 1885 as the first college in the Arizona territories and is a designated Land Grant University. It is one of 62 members of the Association of American Universities. UA has over 36,000 students and offers 334 fields of study at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral level.   Michigan State University, located in East Lansing, Michigan,is a Land-Grant University and member of The Big Ten Athletic Conference. It was founded in 1855 as a prototype for land grant institutions established under the Morrell Act.   Texas A&M, in College Park, in Texas, was founded in 1876 as the State's Land Grant College. Today it is a land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant university. There are over 45,000 students. It is also the home of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The School has graduate programs in veterinary science, business, and architecture, among others.
