  • Bren School of Information and Computer Science
    The Donald Bren School, part of the UC Irvine campus of the University of California, was founded as a Department in 1968 and established as an independent School in 2002.   • Indiana University
    Indiana University is comprised of 8 campuses; the largest, in Bloomington, is the flagship campus. The website has links to all branches. There are almost 38,000 students at IU. IU ranks high on many scales, including being ranked #1 in Music by U.S. News and World Report that also lists the school as one of the 10 Public Ivies. In athletics, it is a member of The Big Ten.

  • Johns Hopkins University
    Johns Hopkins University, a highly selective university located in Baltimore, Maryland, was founded in 1876. The main campus has 4400 undergraduates and 1600 graduate students. JHU is well known for its Medical School and the Bloomberg School of Public Health. In sports, JHU is affiliated with NCAA Division I for LaCrosse, and with NCAA Division III.

  • National Center for Supercomputing Applications
    First open in 1986, NCSA is one of the original five major National Science Foundation Supercomputer Centers. It is located on the campus of the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. The Center develops large extremely powerful supercomputers and the software to run them.

  • New Mexico State University
    NMSU, a Land-Grant University, was founded in 1888. Its main campus is in Las Cruces with several branches around the state. Total enrollment is over 27,000 on all campuses, and about 1700 faculty. There are 51 programs for graduate study, including an engineering school and a business school.   • Penn State University
    Penn State, founded in 1855, is located in State College, Pennsylvania. It is the State-related, land-grant University with 24 campuses.   • Rutgers University
    Rutgers is the State University of New Jersey, located in New Brunswick with branches in Newark and Camden.   • University of California, Santa Cruz

  • University of California, San Francisco
    UCSF became part of the California University system in 1873. It is the only UC campus dedicated exclusively to the health sciences. There is also a PhD program, the UCSF Medical Center, UCSF Children's Hospital, and Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute. The school has almost 3000 students and 1325 residents.

  • University of Delaware
    The University of Delaware grew from a small private academy begun in 1743 to a major university that was chartered in 1833. The main campus is in Newark and there are 5 other locations.   • University of Washington
    The University of Washington, with its main campus in Seattle, was founded in 1861 and is one of the oldest state-supported schools in the West. The school is considered one of the public ivies.   • Washington State University
    WSU's largest campus is located in Pullman and has over 18,000 students. The school was founded in 1892 as the Washington Agricultural College and School of Science.
